Dublin’s The Murder Capital have shared a new video for ‘More Is Less’ – the live version of which went viral and forged the band’s breakthrough last year. The video follows the release of their debut album When I Have Fears in August, which reached a Top 20 chart position in the UK, and a #2 position in their native Ireland.
The new album is available on gatefold colour LP, black LP, as part of a limited bundle (gatefold colour LP, t-shirt, pin & journal), CD and as a digital download. You can order the album HERE.
Produced by Flood (PJ Harvey, New Order, Foals) the album features all four singles from the band so far, ‘Feeling Fades’, ‘Green & Blue’ & ‘Don’t Cling To Life’ and ‘More Is Less.’ Alongside the new video the band have a huge string of live dates for 2020 which are listed below, including their biggest London headline show to-date at Electric Ballroom. Psychedelic Porn Crumpets – “Mundungus” [Video]
Following a huge tour across America, Canada, Europe and the UK, Perth’s Psychedelic Porn Crumpets share their new video for “Mundungus”, shot by the band on super 8 and taking us along for the ride of their whirlwind past few months. A new favourite addition to the live set, “Mundungus” premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show, and is the band’s first release since they shared their new album And Now For The Whatchamacallit earlier this year. “Mundungus is the rare post tour recovery period where all our surrounding friends and family assume we’re crippled with alcoholism, burdened with lives of social estrangement and are far too disillusioned to foresee our self destructive tendencies”. – Jack McEwan Psychedelic Porn Crumpets
Returning home for this year’s Spilt Milk Festival and summer’s Falls Festival, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are gearing up for a homecoming tour to remember. You can find their current dates below.

Nada Surf – “Something I Should Do” [Video]
Nada Surf has announced the release of their long-awaited new LP, Never Not Together, arriving via Barsuk on February 7, 2020. It’s the band’s ninth studio recording — their first in almost four years. Today’s video is for the new single, “Something I Should Do.”
Never Not Together sees Nada Surf – Matthew Caws, Daniel Lorca, Ira Elliot, and their longtime friend and collaborator, Louie Lino – continuing their music vision with catchy indie rock songs. Recorded earlier this year at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Monmouthshire, Wales, the wide-ranging collection revels in the group’s ability to evoke and reflect grand and intricately wrought emotions, whether through sweeping guitar solos or hushed-whisper vocals.
Nada Surf will celebrate the release with a major world tour. The band has also added a run of May and June dates to their existing tour slate — see below for the full list of currently-announced dates.

…And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead – “Don’t Look Down” [Video]
Austin’s …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead are returning after six years with their 10th full-length studio album X: The Godless Void and Other Stories – due out on January 17th, 2020 on Dine Alone Records in North America. The new LP comes as the band enters their 25th year together and …Trail of Dead will kick off the album release with a show at LA’s Masonic Lounge in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery followed by a couple of weeks of West Coast dates. Along with the news today the band is revealing the first single via the official video for “Don’t Look Down” directed, edited and produced by Conrad Keely. The single will be available via all DSPs tomorrow, November 15th, along with an album pre-order.
X: The Godless Void and Other Stories was produced by …Trail’s own Conrad Keely alongside engineer Charles Godfrey (Sinkane, of Montreal, Yeah Yeah Yeahs). Work on the new album began in earnest in 2018 after Keely returned home to Austin following five years in Cambodia, rejoining fellow founding member Jason Reece. As a result, the album sees Keely detailing “the sadness of moving away from a place that I loved,” while also taking inspiration from Steven Pressfield’s book The War Of Art to face his own demons regarding the creative process. “I feel like I’m writing pop music,” he says, “it’s just not Top 20 pop. It’s the pop music I wish was on the radio, the pop music I would’ve grown up with.”

Ratboys – “Alien With A Sleep Mask On” [Video]
“I’m lost, but I’m not afraid.” As Ratboys’ Julia Steiner began to write the skeletons of the songs that would make up their new album Printer’s Devil, those six words, originally sung by David Byrne, meant everything. They became a mantra for the transformative nature of Printer’s Devil, an album that finds the Chicago band achieving entirely new heights as a four-piece and peaks of vulnerability in what is undoubtedly their strongest and most cohesive endeavor yet.
You can check out the lead track in the video and Printer’s Devil will be out everywhere on February 28, 2020 and pre-orders are available now from Topshelf Records HERE.
Video Premiere: Frontier Folk Nebraska – “Walking In Latonia”
Cincinnati’s Frontier Folk Nebraska have been cranking out quality rock n roll since their debut back in 2011. The group is celebrating their latest and just released record, Freaks, with several tour dates, a record release party on November 29th at the Southgate Revival in Newport, Kentucky and today’s video premiere for album track “Walking In Latonia.”
“Walking In Latonia” was filmed on location in the band’s hometown with guitarist Travis Talbert’s three you old daughter, Ellison roaming wild and free in the place the band grew up. The song’s driving guitar keeps this mid-tempo burner going and when the chorus comes up, “I’m walking in Latonia – got boots on my feet,” you can connect the feeling with your own home town roots.
Frontier Folk Nebraska wear all their emotion on their sleeve here and that’s exactly what you will get with their new album Freaks. Their hard working sound is meant to be turned up! Make sure you watch the video then pick up a copy of the new album. Their current tour dates are listed below along with links to their album order and band info.

Grace Cummings – “There Flies A Seagull” [Video]
Powerfully voiced Australian folk artist, Grace Cummings, made a quick rise within Melbourne’s indie music scene which landed her a contract with Flightless Records. They just issued her debut album, Refuge Cove, last week and “There Flies A Seagull” is the second single.
The debut was recorded in one afternoon by Jesse Williams (Traffik Island, Girlatones) in his Melbourne home. Her voice is unique and powerful – an artist to watch for sure.
Video Premiere: Dany Laj And The Looks – “Hold For Love”
TFN is excited today to premiere Dany Laj and The Looks new video for “Hold For Love” off of the bands latest record Everything New Is New Again. Shot in the landscape of northern Ontario’s biggest city, Sudbury, the video gives you a taste of the mining town airs of where Laj is from.
“Hold For Love” is a great power pop track that highlights Dany Laj’s knack for the hook. This guitar driven song is a good representation of Dany Laj and The Looks overall sound and the video showcases their hard working delivery. The video was directed and edited by Joseph Golinski and the camera work was by bass player Jeanette Dowling.
The band is gearing up for another road trip starting this Friday that has dates across Canada and the USA. TFN highly recommends checking them out! You can find all their current tour dates below.
Make sure you also snag a copy of the album – You can find a vinyl copy of Everything New Is New Again HERE at Yeah Right! A CD copy HERE from Transistor 66 and a digital version at their Bandcamp page HERE.
