Blood Harmony Never Fades: The Sha La Das Return With Heart & Soul on Your Picture

The Sha La Das are back! The family doo-wop outfit led by 79-year-old Bill Schalda and his sons Paul, Will, and Carmine announce their long-awaited second album Your Picture, out December 5th via Diamond West Records. Produced by Thomas Brenneck (Charles Bradley, The Budos Band), the record pays tribute to the family’s matriarch, Linda—and it’s every bit as warm and timeless as you’d hope.

The lead single, “Stop Using My Love,” hits that sweet spot between golden-era harmonies and deep-soul grit. Bill says the track came together in pure Sha La Da fashion: “Paul came up with the hook, Tommy had the chords, and suddenly it all just flowed.” That spontaneity carries through the whole record.

Your Picture is available for pre-order now, along with an exclusive 45 of “Stop Using My Love” b/w “Do You Remember When,” only through the Diamond West Webstore.
