Cage the Elephant Debuted at Number One on Billboard and Are Already Back in the Studio
Cage the Elephant spent last year as special guests on Oasis Live ’25. Then they went directly back into the studio. “Beaches in Tennessee” is what came out the other side — their first new music in two years, their first release on Big Loud Rock, and the kind of arrival that makes a statement before anyone has to say a word. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, making it only the sixth track in the history of that chart to do so. It is currently top five on both Alternative and AAA radio.
The official video is out today, directed by vocalist Matt Shultz with creative strategy from Maya Elias and editing by Michael Rees. Produced by Justin Raisen and SADPONY (Jeremiah Raisen), the track marks the beginning of a new creative chapter for the multi-Grammy winning band, and by all accounts they’re not slowing down — more new music is already in the works from those post-Oasis sessions.
