Fire Drill Album Review: LA’s Bleached have successfully progressed their 60’s retro girl group vibe found on their debut into a higher gear power rock that is full of hooks, California sun and spews attitude. They are a band that has glimmers of The Slits and The Runaways while vocally soaring like Best Coast. I don’t think Welcome The Worms is significantly better than their debut but it is definitely catchier. This is a record to enjoy summer with and if you like (fill in your favorite all female rock band here), I think you will instantly connect with this record that has serious replay value. It will be interesting where Bleached go from here!
