The Friday Fire Track: Duds – “Elastic Feel”

| | , ,

Did you think the spastic garage rock rebirth was just contained to the state of California? Well, check out today’s Friday Fire Track from the Manchester quartet Duds. It has the post-punk flare of Parquet Courts, the intricate fever guitar of Oh Sees and then a closing end noise game that is right there with other Castle Face records alum like Chicago’s Running or the more experimental Damaged Bug.

Duds debut, Of A Nature Or Degree, will out September 22, 2017, as they join the roster of Castle Face Records. In fact, Duds is the first UK group to release an album on the label so they are a bit special. Trust me though, spin “Elastic Feel” several times and Castle Face would most likely be your first pick anyway as they are a perfect fit. Crank this one up and enjoy your Friday!
