With 2013 around the corner, Passion Pit is excited to announce a headlining North American tour in February and March with special guests Matt & Kim. The tour starts on February 5th in Norfolk, VA, three nights before the bands previously announced headlining debut at Madison Square Garden. The tour continues with a hometown show in Boston, MA on February 9th at the Agganis Arena, before heading west for theatre and arena shows in Denver, Salt Lake City and more – making this the band’s largest headlining tour to date! See the full list of dates below.

The band recently completed a three night stand at Washington D.C.’s 9:30 Club, where the Washington Times raved that “Passion Pit is the personification of pop music.” While in D.C., Michael Angelakos and Ian Hultquist from the band stopped by the NPR offices to perform a Tiny Desk Concert. After a triumphant return to the stage this fall, Passion Pit will finish out this year with a small European tour and a series of U.S. radio dates.

Passion Pit is featured on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 soundtrack, with an original track titled “Where I Come From.” The song is featured in the beginning of the film (out Nov. 16th), and you can preview it now on iTunes.

Four months after the bands #4 Billboard chart debut with Gossamer, Passion Pit is seeing their first top 5 Alternative chart hit with “Take A Walk.” Passion Pit made their first TV appearance in support of Gossamer last month performing “Take A Walk” and the infectious album cut “Carried Away”  on Saturday Night Live.Additionally, the band is the face of Brooks Brothers 2012 fall line.
