Last month, Dub Thompson, the brazen project of 19-year olds Matt Pulos (guitar) and Evan Laffer (drums), announced their debut album, 9 Songs, by sharing the raw and immediate Robert Beatty-directed video for “Dograces.” Originally from Agoura Hills, now based in California (Matt) and Brooklyn (Evan), Dub Thompson are giving a further glimpse into the Jonathan Rado-produced 9 Songs with another one of the album’s 8 songs — the more playful “No Time.”

Together, the vibes of these two tracks hint at the album’s mischievous nature. The youthful energy, clever aesthetics and mature musical and artistic influences driving this band make 9 Songs an undeniably riveting listen. 9 Songs will be out on June 10 via Dead Oceans.
