Amen Dunes, the project of New York-based Damon McMahon, is set to release his third full-length album, Love, May 13th on Sacred Bones Records. Amen Dunes has always been rooted in traditional song and sound, but Love is being described as his first work where this clearly shines through.
You can hear the late 60’s/early 70’s vibe in this first track, “Lonely Richard” as it sounds even better through a pair of headphones. The solid guitar strum is the backbone of the track but also make sure to listen to its last third as McMahon vocally changes things up for satisfying results.
