Waxahatchee’s new album Ivy Tripp will be out April 7 via Merge Records. The record will be the highly anticipated follow up to Cerulean Salt, which landed #6 in our Top 50 of 2013.
The album was recorded and engineered by Kyle Gilbride of Wherever Audio at band founder, leader, and singer Katie Crutchfield’s home on New York’s Long Island with drums recorded in the gym of a local elementary school. Crutchfield states that Ivy Tripp presents a more developed and aged version of Waxahatchee.
The first 250 500 LP orders (orginally Merge posted 250) will receive a limited edition colored vinyl. The LP includes a coupon for a full download. You can order a copy HERE.
