Weezer’s “C.E.O.” Video Features Tony Hawk and a Cast of Dozens — the Album Arrives in Two Weeks

Weezer

With Weezer dropping August 21, the band shares their third single and it arrives with the most stacked video cast of the campaign. “C.E.O.” features Tony Hawk, Rob Riggle, Rob Huebel, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Curry Barker, Dax Flame, and Chit (aka Jay Renshaw), which is either a fever dream or exactly the kind of absurd, tongue-in-cheek move Weezer has always pulled off with complete conviction. Rolling Stone called the album one of the best Weezer records of this century, which is a bar worth noting on a twentieth album.

“C.E.O.” explores the passage of time and the pressure of meeting the demands of your own inner executive — the voice that tracks your output, judges your output, and won’t stop measuring your output against some imagined standard. Alongside lead singles “Shine Again” and “We Might as Well Be Strangers,” it rounds out a compelling preview of what Klas Ahlund and Kenny Beats built with Rivers Cuomo and company in that Orange County rehearsal room: tight, raw, and urgent in ways the catalog hasn’t been in years.

Alongside the single, Weezer announces the international leg of The Gathering tour: Japan dates in February 2027 and a UK/EU run through May and June 2027 with Taking Back Sunday in support. The North American arena run is already underway. Pre-order the album below.
