Golden Apples – “Sugarfire” [Video]

| |

Philadelphia’s latest and greatest musical export, Golden Apples, recently announced their new album Bananasugarfire, and today they’re sharing it’s towering quasi-title track “Sugarfire.” Due out October 27th via Lame-O Records, Bananasugarfire’s fittingly bold title perfectly encapsulates the kaleidoscopic blast of fuzzed-out guitars, joyful songwriting, and vibrant production found within one of the year’s best rock albums.

“Sugarfire” follows lead single “Waiting For A Cloud,” and perfectly captures Golden Apples’ effortless blend of college rock, shoegaze, psych, and jangle pop. Making use of every second of its five minute runtime, the new single highlights the band’s ability to be sprawling and expansive without sacrificing an ounce of immediacy or hooks.
