The Friday Fire Track: Meatbodies – “Disorder”

friday fire meatbodies
The first thing about Meatbodies you should know is that main man Chad Ubovich is also the guitarist for Mikal Cronin and the bassist in FUZZ with Ty Segall. You might remember that Chad and the Meatbodies were the B-side last year with Ty on the seventh release in the LAMC 7” Series from Famous Class. That history now leads us to the self-titled debut from Meatbodies and their featured fire track “Disorder.”

The launch of guitar and noise up front is exactly what you would expect from this band. The somewhat fuzzed up vocals then click in with a Ramones style delivery and “Disorder” turns into a foot tapping, just over 2 minute, rocker that will make you want more. The good news is that Meatbodies debut is out October 14th on In The Red. The band will be touring extensively this fall with Hunters, Purling Hiss and Twin Peaks and should be added to your calendar.
