Today’s Friday Fire Track is a new song off the debut self-titled full-length from Chicago’s Exit Verse. The group is sort of an indie supergroup as it features singer/guitarist Geoff Farina (Karate, Secret Stars, Glorytellers), drummer John Dugan (Chisel, Edsel) and bassist Pete Croke (Brokeback, Tight Phantoms).
If you are a big Karate fan, like we are, then you will especially like hearing this different side of Farina’s talent. “Seeds” is a much more stripped down type of track that puts Farina’s vocals right out front. This allows him even more space to fill with his emotive delivery. The other thing to listen for is the Karate like grooves that flow beneath the lyrics which is just a bonus. We look forward to hearing the full length when it hits streets November 17, 2014 via Ernest Jenning Record Co.
