The Fire Track premiere of “The Art Of Pulling Pork” is the first single from the debut solo album by Jason Moules. A self-taught musician from the old Yorkshire mining town of Castleford, Jason has spent his life obsessed by music. Listening to music, playing music and absorbing as much as he can that has made him into the artist he is today.
Moules was previously in the band allusinlove, which debut album, its ok to talk, was released in 2018. The group shared the stage with bands Muse, Skunk Anansie, The Amazons, Grandson, and The Dune Rats as they played across the UK and Europe.
Moules moved on from allusinlove in 2020 but he still is delivering a driving rock in “The Art Of Pulling Pork.” It is a song that pulls from classic alt rock times with its guitar grind as Moules’ large vocals keep pushing the track along. “The Art Of Pulling Pork” is a great first listen off Moules forthcoming debut record, Fruit Machine, and most certainly should be played at a higher volume.
“The song title “The Art of Pulling Pork” came about after eating at an Italian burger restaurant on my birthday…the restaurant claimed to have crafted the art of pulled pork. Made me laugh. It’s not specific. Most of my songs are about imagery. Close your eyes and think about whatever you want…burgers or something else.”
