Twisted Teens Are on Their Third Album of 2026 and “When We First Met” Is 113 Seconds of High-Octane Proof They Are Not Slowing Down

Twisted Teens released two albums before Sub Pop came calling: Blame the Clown on Chain Smoking Records in January, and Florida Water Blues on Going Underground in July. The Holy Cross Tigers, out November 6, is their third of 2026 and their first for Sub Pop. The New Orleans band led by Caspian Halliwell and RJ Santos has been putting out music at a pace that suggests either an inexhaustible creative well or a complete disregard for conventional release strategy. Probably both.

Lead single “When We First Met” runs 113 seconds and does not waste any of them. The video, directed by Anthony Simpkins and shot at Armored MMA, goes medieval and matches the song’s velocity perfectly. Twisted Teens just wrapped a sold-out West Coast run and resume touring November 3 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York before joining Kurt Vile and the Violators for a full Eastern US run through November 24. An Australian tour follows in December.
