Who is ready for some 2014 music? I know we haven’t properly finished off 2013 yet but that is the beauty of the Friday Fire Track!
Up today is Axxa/Abraxas which is the music and art project of 23 year-old Atlanta native Ben Asbury. The name is derived from two principles that Asbury associates together, one deeply personal, one spiritually dichotomous. Their seamless integration into one sentiment echoes the sonic and visual elements of Axxa/Abraxas.
That name may get you or even distract you but give his new song, “I Almost Fell,” a good listen because it is a solid slice of psych-art pop! Axxa/Abraxas debut is out March 4, 2014 on one of our favorite labels Captured Tracks.
