“Andrew Gabbard channels raw emotion and fuzz into ‘Just Like Magic’ – love has never sounded this good!” – The Fire Note
We’re thrilled to premiere Andrew Gabbard’s new single and video, “Just Like Magic”—an intimate, fuzz-driven love song that’s as heartfelt as it is enchanting. This track is a standout from his upcoming album, Ramble & Rave On!, dropping tomorrow via Colemine/Karma Chief Records. Gabbard’s laid-back, swaying psychedelic sound sends a message that feels like a breath of fresh air in today’s stressful world.
Andrew Gabbard on “Just Like Magic”
“‘Just Like Magic’ is a simple song about love. It’s about seeing something special in someone who doesn’t see it themselves. I wrote it in full, without instruments, pacing around a hotel room in Las Vegas while on the road. The recording didn’t feel right until I tried a take with fuzz guitar. After that I was afraid to touch the controls haha. When I showed it to my daughter for the first time her eyes lit up, she had a big smile on her face and she said ‘Dad, from now on, you should write all your songs about love!’ I really feel like I created some magic with this track – I’m real proud of it.”
