Desert Jangle Returns: Los Palms Drop Hypnotic New Single “Sorrows”
Los Palms are back and sounding bolder than ever. The Adelaide outfit just dropped “Sorrows,” the first taste of their upcoming self-titled LP Los Palms, out August 29 via Fuzz Club. If you’ve ever wanted to drift down a desert highway with nothing but a broken heart and a reverb pedal for company, this one’s for you.
“Sorrows” slinks along with ghost-town grooves and spaghetti western flair—dusty, hypnotic, and heavy on the twang. It’s a slow-motion heartbreak trip through the fog of loss, where everything feels distant and strange, and all that’s left is the ache. Think ’60s garage heat with a touch of modern-day psychedelia, wrapped in a warm haze of tremolo and echo.
The new record follows 2022’s Skeleton Ranch and digs even deeper into what the band calls “desert jangle”—but this time, the production’s sharper, the mood’s thicker, and the whole thing feels like it’s been sunbaked under a blood-orange sky.
Los Palms is up for pre-order now, including a hand-numbered 180g splatter vinyl limited to just 350 copies (Fuzz Club store and Membership exclusive), plus a sharp-looking 180g orange vinyl edition HERE.
Watch the video, get lost in the sound, and keep your eyes peeled—this ride’s just getting started.
