Hooveriii – “Cindy” [Video]

| |

Los Angeles band Hooveriii have released their new single “Cindy.” The track is taken off their forthcoming new album Water For The Frogs, due out April 9 via The Reverberation Appreciation Society label.

Having originally been born as a solo drum machine project by Bert Hoover, Hooveriii (pronounced “Hoover Three”) has now evolved into its’ true final form – a six member band adept at creating their own brand of psychedelic space rock. Of “Cindy” Hoover shares, “it is about the feeling of sorrow over the loss of things we take for granted.

The song was conceived in an old spooky German WWII Bunker – converted to rehearsal spaces / venue in Furth. The lyrics were written in our van on the way to Halle the following day. I was keeping the lyrics minimal and contained, trying to channel my best Eno.” The video, shot on black and white 16mm film, was directed by Rocío Mesa. The clip was hand animated by Mesa and the band.

You can pre-order the album HERE.
