Album Overview: Swami & The Bed Of Nails is a project fronted by John Reis, known for his influential roles in bands such as Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu, and Rocket From The Crypt. The band was formed during the final writing sessions of Hot Snakes in 2023, a period marked by the tragic passing of Reis’s close friend and bandmate, Rick Froberg (Obits, Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu). The music evolved as a way for Reis to process his grief and move forward, ultimately leading to the creation of All Of This Awaits You. This album is a collection of nine tracks that arose from a challenging period for John Reis. The album is a very good sounding mix of Reis’s rock and melodic hooks in Rocket From The Crypt and the more driving punk of Hot Snakes.
