Who: Foxygen is an indie rock duo from California.

Sound: Glam rock for the modern age.

TFN Final Take: Foxygen really doubles down with the glam rock on their fourth LP, Hang. At times it seems more like a Broadway cast recording rather than a rock album, which makes for a distinct listening experience. While it remains interesting it isn’t necessarily engaging; all of the posturing and affectation surprisingly makes it difficult to connect with the music. Foxygen have done their best homage to the late David Bowie, but Bowie did it first and better.
