Dayton, Ohio bands are known for working quickly and the Smug Brothers are no different. After last year’s Headphone Approved On The Way To The Punchline, Smug Brothers are back with a new full length February 24th titled Woodpecker Paradise.

Today’s Fire Track, “Meet A Changing World,” is the lead song off the new record and it is your initial taste of the band recording live in the studio by all its members. A first in the band’s 10-year history!

You can hear the immediate results here as the guitars and drums propel this indie rock jam out front as singer Kyle Melton plays it cool with reserved but direct vocals. You can check out the track below – have a great Friday!

A lifelong fan of new music—spent the '90s working in a record store and producing alternative video shows. In the 2000s, that passion shifted online with blogging, diving headfirst into the indie scene and always on the lookout for the next great release. Still here, still listening, and still sharing the best of what’s new.
