Fire Track: The Rural Alberta Advantage – “Falling Apart”

Old Guitar, New Fire: The Rural Alberta Advantage Return with “Falling Apart”

Exciting news from The Rural Alberta Advantage. They’ve just dropped “Falling Apart”, the first tease of their yet-to-be-titled sixth record. It’s raw and immediate, built from the same fire they bring onstage.

Here’s the backstory: Nils recently picked up a nearly 100-year-old Martin acoustic — something that felt alive as soon as he struck a chord. That instrument lit the spark for this track. Then they road-tested it live, listening to how it landed, shaping it around the crowd’s reactions. The result? A song that feels lived-in and urgent all at once.

“Falling Apart” isn’t a fragile whisper — it’s weathered and bold. Layers of grit, heartfelt lines, and momentum — the kind of song that sounds like it’s charging through you. It’s classic RAA: vulnerable in phrasing, relentless in energy.

Do us a favor: give it a listen, crank it loud, and let it land differently each time you press play.
