Soul from Surabaya with a global groove.
Indonesia’s own Thee Marloes are back in the spotlight with a brand-new video for “What’s On Your Mind,” the hypnotic B-side to their latest 7” on Big Crown Records. Following the worldwide buzz of Perak (2024), the trio—Natassya Sianturi, Sinatrya “Raka” Dharaka, and Tommy Satwick—keep the flame burning while they put the finishing touches on their much-anticipated sophomore LP due in 2026.
“What’s On Your Mind” is slow-burn soul at its most cinematic: heavy drums, swirling sitars, and smoky piano runs frame Sianturi’s sultry, controlled delivery as she teases out the thrill of instant connection. It’s the kind of track that lingers like perfume in the air—intimate, mysterious, and effortlessly cool.
The flip side, “I’d Be Lost,” rides a tender, four-on-the-floor groove built for dance floors and late-night drives. Sianturi’s vocals glide above the rhythm like sunlight through blinds, singing of simple devotion and pure affection. It’s a pairing that proves Thee Marloes haven’t just mastered the art of retro-soul—they’re redefining it on their own terms.
Already lighting up airwaves across the globe, Thee Marloes are set to bring their warm Surabaya soul to stages in the US and Europe this year before their next chapter unfolds.
