ASH TAKE OFF AGAIN WITH “AD ASTRA” (FEAT. GRAHAM COXON)
Ash are back in orbit with the video for “Ad Astra,” the electrifying title track from their new album Ad Astra—out now on Fierce Panda. The track features none other than Graham Coxon (Blur) and captures the band at full cosmic throttle: sharp hooks, massive choruses, and that signature Ash mix of melody and muscle.
Drummer Rick McMurray calls it the song that “spawned the space in which the rest of the album lives”—and you can hear it. The track glides between galaxies of fuzzed-out riffs and star-bright melody, a perfect reflection of an album that’s both reflective and rocket-fueled.
Across Ad Astra, Ash flex their timeless knack for power-pop fireworks—from the charging rush of “Hallion” to the shimmering lift of “Which One Do You Want?” and the madcap punch of “Fun People” (also with Coxon). It’s a record that finds the trio aging like sonic superheroes—no nostalgia trip, just another blast of joyful noise from one of indie rock’s most enduring bands.
