After seeing Mike Savino play drums on his lighted banjo with Kishi Bashi this year I was instantly hooked to his band Tall Tall Trees. The group has been around for about 6 years now and slowly has evolved into a one man psychedelic folk show. Honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way at this point as Savino gets it and is highly entertaining on his own.
The featured fire track today is from his new Seasonal EP which is due out December 2nd. It was produced by K. Ishibashi (aka Kishi Bashi) and features three original songs and one re-imagining of Animal Collective’s “My Girls”. If you are a fan of Kishi Bashi, Tall Tall Trees is a no brainer.
