Fire Drill Album Review: TFN has been all over Beach Slang’s Replacement style rock n roll since their pair of EP debuts back in 2014. This Philly band has quickly progressed and now with A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings, they have already released their sophomore album. You may think that Beach Slang are on a creative churn and are really finding their sound but I think they nailed it from the beginning. A Loud Bash continues their loud muffled bash of amps and speaks to the fountain of youth. Not only on how invigorating those years were for the band members but currently in the moment for the groups’s fans.

Capturing that excitement of picking up a guitar for the first time or attending your first concert of ear deafening rock by yourself is exactly what songwriter and front man James Alex wanted to accomplish here. The band wanted to make another record that was for the fans. That is why this album feels like a continuance of last year’s The Things We Do to Find People Who Feel Like Us and also never takes its foot off the accelerator. A Loud Bash of Teenage Feelings is an energetic rush from beginning to end and Beach Slang is in full control!
