In February of 1994, Josh Haden took his new band Spain into Poop Alley Studio in LA to record some demos with producer Tom Grimley. Those demos led to a deal with Restless Records and the 1995 release of their fantastic debut LP, The Blue Moods of Spain, which featured the killer track “Untitled #1.”
The original 16-track demo recordings from those early sessions were lost for over 25 years, until 2021, Haden tracked the multi-track tapes down and sent them to musician/producer Kramer. From there, we now get the release World Of Blue (out today, September 30 via Shimmy-Disc/Joyful Noise) which is the first ever vinyl release of five previously unreleased tracks, including today’s premiere of “Her Used-To-Been.”
Check out the video below and pick up a copy of the great looking vinyl HERE (Shimmy-Disc) or HERE (Joyful Noise).
