Here is the first single from Goshen, Indiana’s Strand of Oaks appropriately titled “Goshen ’97.” Founder and leader Tim Showalter has previously released several more folk oriented records under the Strand of Oaks moniker but his new record Heal finds him growing with a much louder sound. Not only can you hear this in the single but you also get Tim going back in forth with J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr.
Heal is duo out June 24th via Dead Oceans and should be worth checking out based on this single. You can also get in on a special edition clear vinyl package right now that features a limited 7″ featuring a cover of The National’s “Pink Rabbits” (more details Here). You can discover the new music below and let the weekend begin!
