The Friday Fire Track Giveaway: Walking Man – “Maybel”

When forming a band in Nashville, Tennessee you have to be strong willed and ready for rejection as you can barely take two steps in the city without running into another musician. But, that didn’t stop indie rock duo Walking Man from taking their shot – and you’ll be glad they did! Walking Man has an avant-garde approach and creatively mixes notes of psychedelics with Mississippi Delta blues.

Today’s Friday Fire Track takes their song “Maybel” and shares it to the masses. Greased up with what seems to be a dirty tremolo, Walking Man do not hold back. The soulful vocals give hints of the lesser known Parlor Mob that will get you pumped up to fight for your “Maybel.” Right now the group has a 7″ single with the b-side “Masquerade” available via Soul Step Records as well as 4 song self-titled EP that oozes with potential.
