I don’t know about you but a cool jangly indie rock song seems right for today. Brooklyn’s Coastgaard rushes towards you with a fresh neo-surf rock sound that comes complete with early 60’s rhythms, 90’s guitar undertones and stylish arrangements. On “Rose,” Coastgaard displays their waving melodies that fall into a Real Estate vibe or going back a bit further I hear a little Ocean Blue.
The band has been gaining some steam and has already opened for Here We Go Magic and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. “Rose” is the second single from Coastgaard and will be included on their soon to be released 2015 album, Derecho.
