The first thing you are going to love about today’s premiere is the driving riff. “Gimmie The Power” is the newest track from Seattle punk rockers Beverly Crusher and the song is fantastically pulsing, consistently menacing and is guaranteed to leave the title humming in your head.
Three years in the making and Beverly Crusher is finally putting out their LP. The forthcoming new album is titled Waste Of Waves and is due out August 12th via Freakout Records. If you are new to the group, this is a great introduction to Beverly Crusher and it deserves volume!
“Gimmie the power is an anthem that takes many forms. Sometimes it’s a chant for revolution, sometimes it’s a call to the after world asking for unworldly help, but always it’s about Cozell Wilson’s unrational fear and obsession with Chucky (the doll from childs play)”
