Fire Track: Pet Fox – “Imagine Why”

| | ,

Boston’s Pet Fox are set to release More Than Anything on May 7th, a new EP and the band’s first together with Exploding In Sound Records. The band, comprised of Theo Hartlett (Ovlov), Morgan Luzzi (Ovlov), and Jesse Weiss (ex-Palehound, Grass Is Green), have self released two full length records and quickly became a go-to live act in Boston, having played with Bully, Delicate Steve, Crumb, and Rozwell Kid. Their sound is built on the “pop” end of the indie rock spectrum, drawing influences from bands like Pinback, Alex G, Hammer No More The Fingers and well… The Beatles. Their songs have an easy pop charm to them with a rich sonic diversity. More Than Anything is smooth around the edges as bright hooks lead the way and yet there’s a feeling of complexity and the band’s innate ability to shred.
