With a voice that has a similar edgy tone of Afghan Whigs’ Greg Duli and National’s Matt Berninger, Manchester’s Postcards From Jeff’s singer Joss Worthington provides an excellent sample of what they have to offer on this premiere track – “Tired Wings.” The song is off of their debut full length release Modern Language which is due out October 23 via Alien Boutique.
“Tired Wings” has this nice flowing mid to slow tempo groove that stays on track with a solid foot tapping drum beat. On this song, the band gives a nod to Americana with a sound like early Josh Rouse but still has similarities to M83 and Super Furry Animals. It is a mix that gives Postcards From Jeff a unique sound. You can now listen for yourself below!
