Sufjan Stevens’ Illinois / The Blue Marvel Edition on Vinyl

Asthmatic Kitty Records has announced a very special 10th anniversary edition of Sufjan Stevens’ Illinois. This special edition ships April 1st, 2016 and will go on sale today at 1pm EST.

The double LP of Illinois, now includes Chicago-born Blue Marvel on the cover. The vinyl will include an “Antimatter Blue” and “Cape White” colored wax. The audio for the special edition comes from a 2014 remastered version of Illinois. Asthmatic Kitty commissioned children’s book artist and the original Illinois cover artist Divya Srinivasan to portray Blue Marvel in the style of the original art.
