“Austin’s Jangle Crown Just Arrived — Meet Your New Favorite Guitar Pop Record

Austin’s Touch Girl Apple Blossom are stepping up with their debut LP Graceful, out 5/15 via K Records and Perennial Records — and this thing feels like a spark in dry grass.

Across ten tracks, the band locks into bright, chiming guitars, hooks that sneak into your daily rotation, and a warm, unforced studio touch. Nothing glossy. Nothing sleepy. Just sharp songwriting and melodies that stick. There’s a pulse running through this record that feels alive and necessary. No dragging twee sighs. No staring at your shoes. This one moves.

The first single, “The Springtime Reminds Me Of…,” drops 3/18 and opens with a guitar line that hits immediately. It’s the kind of riff you rewind before the song even finishes. If you ever wore out records by The Feelies, Heavenly, Velocity Girl, The Amps, or found yourself deep in the catalog of Twerps, this one’s already speaking your language. It pulls from New Zealand jangle and blends it with that tight, driving edge that keeps everything on its toes.

Touch Girl Apple Blossom aren’t reviving anything. They’re charging forward and claiming the space.

They’re also heading out on tour with Good Flying Birds this March — one of the most electric live bands around — so expect these songs to hit even harder in a room full of people.
