Teethe Share Stirring New Single “Hate Goodbyes” – New Album Magic of the Sale Out August 8th via Winspear
Texas slowcore heroes Teethe are back with “Hate Goodbyes,” a haunted, heart-on-sleeve track that feels like a sigh at the end of a long day. It’s the latest look at their upcoming album Magic of the Sale, due August 8th on Winspear, and it features a stacked cast of collaborators, including Xandy Chelmis (Wednesday, MJ Lenderman), Charlie Martin (Hovvdy), Adelyn Strei, and Emily Elkin.
“Hate Goodbyes” moves like a memory you can’t shake—guitars hang heavy, cello drapes the mix in melancholy, and the lyrics cut quietly deep: “If I disappoint you, you have every right.” It’s a track about the emotional debris we leave behind just by trying to be whole.
Magic of the Sale finds Teethe stretching out and digging in, with each of the band’s four songwriters contributing their own piece to a larger emotional puzzle. It’s a soft-spoken but richly textured record, wrestling with what it means to find purpose and peace while the world seems to unravel. Self-recorded and mixed over four months by Boone Patrello, the album folds in new voices but keeps the DIY intimacy that made their debut so magnetic.
The band’s tour schedule just got even bigger, with fresh dates added across the UK and EU alongside previously announced runs in the U.S. They’ll be hitting the road with pals like feeble little horse, Momma, and Winter, so catch them while you can.
