Living Hour – “Texting” [Video]

| |

Living Hour turn the smallest moments into something cinematic.

“Texting,” is one of Living Hour’s standout tracks from their new album Internal Drone Infinity, out now via Keeled Scales, Paper Bag Records, and Beloved Records. The Winnipeg band’s mix of dreamy alt-rock, sharp detail, and emotional clarity finds an easy home in this quietly charged song.

“Texting” is Sam Sarty at her most intimate. She takes the everyday rhythm of sending photos, quick thoughts, and stray observations and turns it into a slow-burn portrait of connection. The track grew from trying to describe Winnipeg to someone far away — a long distance thread first hinted at on “Waiter.” Walking the city instead of driving gave her time to notice the strange, messy, oddly beautiful things that pile up around her. Those tiny snapshots become the heartbeat of the song, carrying more weight than they should.

The album itself was shaped while Sarty worked as a projectionist, and that sense of small internal films runs through “Texting.” It’s both mundane and strangely moving, grounding the band’s shimmering sound in everyday truth. Living Hour — Sarty, Gil Carroll, Adam Soloway, Brett Ticzon, and Isaac Tate — deliver it with their signature blend of cool vocals, textured guitars, and a pulse that drifts and glows.

Internal Drone Infinity is out now on DSPs, vinyl, and CD.
