King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have shared “Catching Smoke,” their most recent video. “Catching Smoke” is one of the standouts from their recently released albums Butterfly 3000. Following the release of the album, the band have been putting out one video every week, from the first track to the last, as they share the madcap, “through-the-looking-glass” vision for “Catching Smoke.” Directed by Danny Cohen and co-produced by Cohen and Tessa Mansfield-Hung, the video features the band going through a full metamorphosis, but rather than wallowing in some sort of Kafka-esque bad trip vibes, the band’s journey is one of joyful, devil-may-care determination and ebullience.
