Irish singer songwriter Dove Ellis rolls out the official video for “Pale Song,” and it hits with that late night, heart-in-your-throat intensity he’s quickly becoming known for. Directed by Xander Lewis, the clip shows Ellis leaning into the emotional pull of the track, letting those striking vocals and moody textures do the talking. It follows the recent release of “Love Is / Pale Song” and sets the stage for his debut album Blizzard, out December 5th on Black Butter and AMF Records.
The new songs catch Ellis sounding bold and unguarded, mixing bare wire lyrics with steady rhythms and a foggy, dreamlike atmosphere. He produced the record himself between London and Liverpool, with Sophie Ellis and Andrew Sarlo (Big Thief, Dijon, Mk.Gee, Bon Iver) shaping the final mix. The early buzz makes sense — there’s a spark in his voice that feels lived in and unmistakable.
Ellis just finished his first US tour supporting Geese and is already pulling in crowds on both sides of the Atlantic. You can pre-order the digital album HERE. There are also plans for a vinyl release so stay on the lookout for that info soon.
