Who: Cheena are a NYC band that just released their debut LP on Sacred Bones Records.
Sound: Cheena are a throwback to the New York gutter and glam days.
TFN Final Take: Cheena have all the making of a great band as their debut is raw, uncaring and full of swagger. It has moments of salute to Lou Reed and New York Dolls but finds its own 2016 groove with its off kilter in your face vocals and background guitar work. Their debut lacks some cohesiveness but is still a solid debut with tons of potential moving forward.
