Typically you will always grab me when you say – “recorded by Steve Albini.” He has such a stellar history in the recording/producer world that his name alone can sell records. So what happens when you put the eclectic Monotonix frontman Yonatan Gat and drummer Gal Lazer together with the legend for an almost 7 minute intense jam that is simply titled “0?”
This instrumental track is just something you sit back and listen to all of its intricate parts in amazement. For most of us, you just wish you could play one instrument this well! The intense nature of this track brings all the Albini noise goodness to the forefront especially as it teeters and rocks out in the end.
The two track 10-inch LP can be picked up at Joyful Noise Recordings, HERE, as the VIP edition is packaged inside a screen-printed picture-disc sleeve, in a limited pressing of 300 hand-numbered copies on blood-red inside black wax. You can also download the digital affair on Bandcamp, HERE, in a pay what you want setup. Enjoy the noise – it’s Friday!
