I am not sure if you are familiar with the San Francisco label Melters but it is the home of the greatly underappreciated artist Tony Molina and his earlier band the Ovens. The label also has some other solid indie rock acts on their small roster which includes Chris McVicker’s group Swiftumz.
Swiftumz’s new record, Everybody Loves Chris, is out very soon from Melters and after you check out the first single, “Creepy Eyed Girls,” I think you will be onboard. The song is a perfect sample of Swiftumz’s fuzz-drenched pop that has a little jangle, a little distortion, a little guitar run and a killer rock out ending.
The full length should be packed with excellent pop moments like “Creepy Eyed Girls,” as this song is addicting and just gets us excited to hear the entire record. Enjoy the track below and look out for the album very soon!
