The Friday Fire Track: Colleen Green – “Pay Attention”

Colleen Green’s lo-fi pop punk charm shined on her Hardly Art debut, Sock It To Me, and now we have her first single from her forthcoming 2015 release I Want To Grow Up. “Pay Attention” already gives you an idea that Green has stepped it up sonically this go around, as the song is a pure sounding 90’s era indie rocker. Think Liz Phair, Best Coast and The Breeders all wrapped up into one package.

I Want To Grow Up features a full band that includes JEFF the Brotherhood’s Jake Orrall and Diarrhea Planet’s Casey Weissbuch and was recorded at Sputnik Sound in Nashville, TN. The album has all the makings of being one of the first solid 2015 indie releases. The record is out February 24, 2015 via Hardly Art so nothing like getting an early taste – Enjoy!
