Communist Daughter share their take on The Mountain Goats’ “No Children” as they kick off a December tour with Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Their rendition premiered at My Old Kentucky Blog and is in line with this Minneapolis six piece’s sincere indie folk sound featuring a stunning vocal combination of singer’s Johnny Solomon and Molly Moore.
Lauded by Rolling Stone and NPR, the band has spent the better part of 2012 on the road in support of their acclaimed Lions & Lambs EP (Grain Belt Records), a five track album heavy on bittersweet harmonies and introspective lyricism about Solomon’s battle with a meth addiction. Check out lead tracks “Speed of Sound” and “Ghosts.”
