Axxa/Abraxas (aka Ben Asbury), has just shared the video for his single “I Almost Fell”, from his recently released S/T debut. With the help of newly formed friends in Asheville (Asbury recently relocated to the city), the video came together, piece by piece over several weeks.
When asked to describe the video, this is what he said…
“Monotony, reflexive, the same, unchanging. Habitual existence, societal, normative. Just world beliefs abounding.
No Control. The future’s never sound.
Blind step, guided externally, cultivate faith in acceptence.
As you pass through the stages and grow weary, distorted, grapsing into emptiness
and find, in splendid truth, the freeing of the illusion
and there is no future
follow yr bliss.
Monotony, reflexive, the same, unchanging.
Habitual existence, societal, normative. Just world beliefs abounding.
No Control. The future’s never sound.”
A lifelong fan of new music—spent the '90s working in a record store and producing alternative video shows. In the 2000s, that passion shifted online with blogging, diving headfirst into the indie scene and always on the lookout for the next great release. Still here, still listening, and still sharing the best of what’s new.
