TFN is all in on today’s premiere track from Nashville’s Benchmarks. Of course, the band wants you to hear their new rolling track, “Technicolor,” but the purpose today is more about helping fund a vinyl release of the new album, LP2 via a Kickstarter campaign. Benchmarks are currently at 64% of their goal with 10 days to go so if you like what you hear don’t wait! You can catch some more info on the track directly below and then visit the Kickstarter link at the bottom of this post so that you can add Benchmarks to your growing vinyl collection!
Singer Todd Farrell has this to say about “Technicolor”. “At some point in 2017, I had a breakdown where I realized that I wasn’t being emotionally fulfilled with playing music anymore. I was so worried about putting as many tour dates on the calendar as I could, and the perception of “doing it”, that I forgot why I started making music in the first place… because it’s fun. So, I quit my full time band (Two Cow Garage), got off the road with other projects, and lived in the real world for a bit. “Technicolor” is sort of about rediscovering yourself, and what makes you happy.”
For those unfamiliar with Benchmarks or primary singer songwriter, Todd Farrell Jr, the band has previously released American Night and Our Undivided Attention (Sofaburn). Todd also spent several years as the touring guitarist for Columbus, Ohio, band Two Cow Garage. The band has toured and shared the stage with such notable acts Sammy Kay, Bud Bronson and the Good Timers, Iron Chic, Lucero, Restorations, Timeshares, John Moreland, Mike Vallely, Lydia Loveless, Frank Turner, and Austin Lucas.
Make sure you spin “Techincolor” so that you can hear the memorable raw rock mix that has a western flare Get Up Kids type of tempo that will keep you coming back for more. This energy is why you should visit Benchmarks Kickstarter below and support the working band’s quest to put wax in your hands. Discover, Support & Share!
