Priests – “JJ” [Video]

Washington, DC’s Priests have announced their first full-length, Nothing Feels Natural, which will be released January 27th via their own label Sister Polygon Records. Following the release of Bodies and Control and Money and Power, Priests began to tweak their songwriting process – concentrating more deeply on melody, dialing down the distortion, and experimenting with dynamics.

Today, you can hear some new material off the full length with the lean and melodic “JJ.” It is a song that erupts as it moves forward. We think you will like it!

Ani DiFranco – “Play God” [Video]

Ani DiFranco continues to advocate for women as the November election approaches. Today she released her powerful new song “Play God” off her forthcoming full-length, the first new music from DiFranco since 2014’s Allergic To Water.

The official video for the track was shot and edited by Shervin Lainez and features clips from women’s rights protests around the country shot by women’s rights organization Lady Parts Justice, founded by comedian, political writer, and producer Lizz Winstead, co-creator of The Daily Show and Air America Radio.

In light of the current political climate in the United States, DiFranco is using her 2016 VOTE DAMMIT! tour and her music to encourage fans to vote on Election Day and have their voices be heard. The tour dates are below.

Check out the first video and tell us what you think. The next Gwen Stefani? We shall see. You can pre-order the record HERE.

Beck – “Wow” [Video]

In addition to heading out on a September 15-24 mini-tour, Beck is currently putting finishing touches on his forthcoming follow-up to last year’s Album of the Year GRAMMY winner Morning Phase. Co-produced by his Sea Change-era bandmate Greg Kurstin and Beck and to be released on Capitol Records, Beck’s 13th studio opus will feature both “Wow” and last year’s summer smash “Dreams.”

The Garden – “Call This # Now” [Video]

California’s The Garden released their debut album Haha via Epitaph/Burger last October. The two-piece bass and drum attack has been building a fanbase in the UK with their unique modern punk.

The group is already following up last year’s release with new music that includes today’s video for “Call This # Now!” The video is weird, catchy and like a b movie you can’t turn away from with its old school DIY vibe. The band is currently on tour across seas which you can find the dates below.

Jimmy Eat World – “Get Right” [Video]

Jimmy Eat World is back and here is the new lyric video “Get Right.” The group already announced a 7″ for the release and now has put up pre-order for the full length due out October 21st.

The album does not have a title yet or track listing but if you order the vinyl per JEW you will get the rarest variant. You can pre-order HERE.

Metallica – “Hardwired” [Video]

At this point in time it is really easy to dismiss Metallica as irrelevant. Death Magnetic (2008) was not a bad return to form and debatebly their best output since the black album in 1991. So eight years later here we go – Hardwired…to Self-Destruct will be released on November 18th and this first single feels very retro Metallica. Already, I have seen tons of mixed feelings on the song but I think it is hard to turn away from these Kill ‘Em All style riffs and drums. What the album will sound like – who cares. This track will shake your speakers!

Green Day – “Bang Bang” [Video]

Green Day will release their 12th studio album, entitled Revolution Radio, on October 7th via Reprise Records. “Bang Bang” is the first single and video off the record. I will say it is 100% Green Day with its punk speed, hook and political statement. In fact, the last third of this track rips!

Produced by Green Day and recorded in Oakland, Revolution Radio is said to be a 12-track blitz of angst-ridden anthems that captures Green Day pefectly. I will say that the album artwork is great. Currently, there is a limited red vinyl variant for pre-order at the band’s website HERE. Tracklisting below.

green-day-rev-radio
The track-listing for Revolution Radio is as follows:
1. Somewhere Now
2. Bang Bang
3. Revolution Radio
4. Say Goodbye
5. Outlaws
6. Bouncing Off The Wall
7. Still Breathing
8. Youngblood
9. Too Dumb To Die
10. Troubled Times
11. Forever Now
12. Ordinary World

The Wedding Present – “Bear” [Video]

The Wedding Present had some great records early in their career such as and Seamonsters (1991) and Watusi (1994) but it is great to see the band releasing new material today. Here is the video for their new single “Bear” off the upcoming Going, Going… on September 2nd via Scopitones.

The new record sounds like a monster with its opening four instrumental songs, before breaking out with a jangle of clanging guitars, a squeal of feedback and a rush of adrenaline.

The tracklisting for the the new album is below along with pre-order info as it is available in three audio-visual formats: standard CD + DVD, deluxe CD + DVD in hard-bound ‘book pack’ with extra tracks + lyrics, deluxe double 180g LP + DVD with extra tracks + lyrics.

Tracklisting: 1. Kittery / 2. Greenland / 3. Marblehead / 4. Sprague / 5. Two Bridges / 6. Little Silver / 7. Bear / 8. Secretary / 9. Birdsnest / 10. Kill Devil Hills / 11. Bells / 12. Fifty-Six / 13. Fordland / 14. Emporia / 15. Broken Bow / 16. Lead / 17. Ten Sleep / 18. Wales / 19. Rachel / 20. Santa Monica
