Robber Robber Kick Up Dust With “Talkback” — A Flicker, A Flash, and Full-On Frenzy

Robber Robber just leveled up. The Burlington, Vermont shape shifters have officially joined the Fire Talk Records roster and are celebrating with a brand new single and video, “Talkback.” It is their first fresh track since the slow burning chaos of their 2024 debut Wild Guess, and it lands like a spark hitting dry leaves.

“Talkback” jumps in mid sentence with tight percussion, warped guitar lines, and Nina Cates’ clipped, wickedly cool delivery. The whole thing feels like eavesdropping on a secret note being read out loud. The band directed the video themselves, stitching together night vision rehearsal footage with jittery hand drawn animation, all of it matching the song’s restless pulse.

Fire Talk is also giving Wild Guess a proper reissue with digital and in store availability on January 30th, 2026. It is a well earned victory lap for a record that turned plenty of heads. When it dropped, the album did not just show promise. It mapped out an entire atmosphere. It moved like a dream flickering between shadows and neon, full of instinct, noise, and ideas that never sit still. Fans and critics latched on, and soon enough the band was touring, remixing, and finding collaborators as curious as they are.

Robber Robber’s world keeps expanding, and “Talkback” feels like the door swinging open again.
