Bleeders Digest
Barsuk Records [2015]

Fire Drill Album Review: Say Hi is Seattle’s Eric Elbogen and he has been making records under this moniker since 2002. His ninth, Bleeders Digest, is an album about vampires and a sequel to Impeccable Blahs (2002). Say Hi’s sound has not changed much over the years and Bleeders Digest does not alter the formula. Catchy synths and hooks over a steady beat driven by Elbogen’s soft and likeable vocals that are very comparable to Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie. Bleeders Digest is an engaging little record that will leave a smile on your face as it beats down the path with tracks like “Lovers’s Lane (Smitten With Doom)” and “It’s A Hunger,” – it also might have you start consuming large amounts of garlic!
